Community Guidelines

Snapmaker Model Platform is built for creators and makers to discover, create, share, and enjoy high-quality 3D printing content together.

These Community Guidelines explain the standards for content and behavior across the platform. They apply to all current and future Snapmaker Model Platform services (Web, Snapmaker Orca, and Snapmaker App) and all community content, including models, print profiles, images, videos, comments, thumbnails, links, and more.

By using the platform, you agree to follow these guidelines and help us build a safe, respectful, and welcoming community where creativity can thrive.

Our Four Community Values

Everything we do is guided by four core values:

• Safety: Help keep the community safe by avoiding harmful, illegal, or dangerous content and behavior.
• Respect: Treat everyone with kindness and respect. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, and privacy violations are not welcome.
• Honesty: Share authentic work, give proper credit, and interact honestly. Keep the community fair by avoiding misleading content or manipulation.
• Openness: We celebrate originality, creativity, and the open sharing of ideas. Explore, create, and inspire others while respecting these guidelines.

General Guidelines

1. Content & Behavior Standards

To help keep Snapmaker Model Platform safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone, please avoid posting or sharing the following types of content.

1.1 Illegal Content

Do not post, promote, or facilitate content related to illegal activities, including but not limited to:

• Crimes involving personal safety, freedom, or property
• Illegal medical, financial, or other professional services
• Gambling or gambling-related activities
• Fraud, scams, impersonation, or deceptive practices
• Cybercrime, unauthorized system access, or malware
• Unauthorized collection, sale, or sharing of personal information

Content that helps others bypass laws or regulations is also not permitted.

1.2 Harmful and Dangerous Content

Please do not share content that could cause harm to individuals, public safety, or property, including:

• Content that promotes, encourages, or instructs self-harm or suicide
• Dangerous activities that may result in serious injury or death
• Instructions for creating, modifying, or using tools or equipment in unsafe ways
• Models primarily intended to injure others or support dangerous activities
• Content that encourages reckless behavior or ignores basic safety practices
• False or misleading information that could cause harm or confusion

High-Risk 3D Printing Content

Because 3D printing can produce functional objects, some categories require additional restrictions.

Firearms & Weapons

The following content is not allowed:

• Functional firearms or their components
• Parts designed to convert toy, airsoft, or non-functional firearms into working weapons
• High-capacity magazines, silencers, trigger assemblies, firing mechanisms, or other regulated weapon components
• Weapons or weapon designs intended for real-world harm

Non-functional props, cosplay items, educational models, or decorative replicas may be shared if their intended purpose is clearly stated and they do not include instructions or features that enable real-world use.

Other High-Risk Content

The following content is also not permitted:

• Explosives, pyrotechnics, or instructions for making them
• Drug manufacturing tools or related products
• Unauthorized surveillance or eavesdropping devices
• Tools intended to bypass security or access-control systems
• Models intended for medical, life-safety, or load-bearing applications without appropriate testing, verification, or clear safety disclaimers

If your model involves potential safety risks, clearly explain its intended use, limitations, and any necessary safety precautions. Providing a disclaimer does not guarantee approval, and all content remains subject to review.

1.3 Respectful Behavior

Help us keep the community welcoming and inclusive. Please do not post or engage in content or behavior that targets or harms others, including:

• Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or other protected characteristics
• Support for extremist organizations, hate groups, or terrorist ideologies
• Content that promotes hatred, violence, exclusion, or discrimination
• Harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, or targeted attacks
• Coordinating or encouraging harassment of other users
• Sharing someone else's personal or sensitive information without permission

1.4 Sexual & Adult Content

Snapmaker Model Platform is intended for a broad audience. Please avoid posting content that is sexually explicit or inappropriate for the community.

Not allowed:

• Pornographic or sexually explicit content
• Sexual services, solicitation, or prostitution
• Any sexual content involving minors
• Content that directs users to pornographic websites or services

Some adult-themed content may be restricted depending on its context, including sexualized imagery, fetish-related content, or products primarily intended for sexual use.

1.5 Minor Safety

We are committed to providing a safe environment for users of all ages.

Content that exploits, harms, or endangers minors is never allowed, including:

• Sexual exploitation or sexualization of minors
• Physical, emotional, or psychological abuse
• Encouraging minors to participate in dangerous, illegal, or inappropriate activities
• Misuse of children's characters or content in harmful contexts
• Violations of a minor's privacy or personal safety

Serious violations may result in immediate account action and reporting to the appropriate authorities where required.

1.6 Sensitive Content

Some content may be restricted or removed if it is excessively graphic, disturbing, or likely to cause significant discomfort, including:

• Graphic violence or gore
• Content intended to shock, disgust, or frighten viewers
• Dangerous or disturbing acts involving harmful substances
• Other content that may cause significant psychological discomfort

1.7 Originality & Intellectual Property

We encourage original creation and respect the rights of creators. Before publishing content, please make sure you have the necessary rights or permission.

Original Works

Please do not:

• Upload copyrighted models, images, videos, or other content without permission
• Repost someone else's work as your own
• Claim lightly modified versions of another creator's work as original

Derivative Works (Remixes)

Remixes are welcome when permitted by the original license.

Please:

• Follow the original license terms
• Credit the original creator and provide a link to the source whenever possible
• Clearly explain what you changed

If the original license does not allow derivative works, please do not modify or republish the model.

Trademarks & Brands

Please do not upload content that:

• Uses trademarks, logos, brand names, or character likenesses without authorization
• Misleads others into believing your content is officially affiliated with or endorsed by a brand

AI-Generated Content

AI can be a valuable creative tool.

• AI-assisted design is welcome.
• Fully AI-generated models should be clearly disclosed in the model description.
• AI-generated images should not be used as the primary model image or print showcase.

Duplicate Uploads

Please avoid uploading identical or nearly identical models solely to gain additional visibility, rewards, or engagement. Whenever possible, update the original model instead of creating duplicate listings.

Copyright Reports

We review copyright reports carefully and respect the rights of creators. Please submit reports in good faith—false or malicious reports may result in account action.

If you're unsure whether your content may infringe someone else's rights, we recommend obtaining permission or confirming the applicable license before publishing.

2. Account Policies

Help us keep Snapmaker Model Platform safe, fair, and enjoyable for everyone by using your account responsibly.

2.1 Account Security

Your account is personal and should be used only by you.

Please do not:

• Share, sell, rent, transfer, or trade your account
• Allow others to access or use your account without permission
• Access another person's account through unauthorized or illegal means
• Attempt to bypass account restrictions or platform security measures

You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that takes place under it.

2.2 Identity & Authenticity

Help build a trustworthy community by representing yourself honestly.

Please do not:

• Impersonate another person, creator, organization, or brand
• Use usernames, profile photos, or other information that may mislead others
• Pretend to be Snapmaker or any official representative
• Claim to represent others without authorization

2.3 Fair Use

Community interactions such as likes, downloads, comments, and followers should reflect genuine engagement.

Please do not:

• Use bots, scripts, automation tools, or fake accounts to manipulate activity
• Buy, sell, exchange, or artificially generate likes, downloads, comments, or followers
• Offer incentives solely to inflate engagement or rankings
• Use multiple accounts to influence rankings, events, or rewards

2.4 Spam & Promotion

Help keep the community focused on quality content.

Please avoid:

• Repetitive, irrelevant, or low-quality posts
• Excessive advertising or promotional content
• Unwanted promotional messages or comment spam
• Misleading links that redirect users to external websites or services
• Unauthorized commercial promotion

2.5 Misuse of Platform Features

Please use platform features fairly and responsibly.

Do not:

• Submit false, malicious, or abusive reports
• Exploit platform features or loopholes to target or harm other users
• Abuse events, rewards, points, or monetization systems for unfair advantage
• Interfere with the normal operation or security of the platform
• Encourage or help others engage in these activities

3. Violation Handling

We use a combination of user reports, automated systems, and manual review to help keep the community safe and fair.

When reviewing potential violations, we consider factors such as the severity of the issue, its impact on the community, previous violations, and whether the behavior appears intentional or repeated.

3.1 Enforcement Measures

If content or behavior violates these guidelines, we may take one or more of the following actions:

• Issue a warning
• Remove or limit the visibility of content
• Restrict access to certain platform features
• Suspend the ability to upload models, print profiles, or other content
• Restrict participation in events, creator programs, or other platform activities
• Remove points, rewards, or revenue obtained through violations
• Temporarily suspend or permanently close an account
• Revoke eligibility for events, rewards, or creator programs

Our goal is always to apply enforcement fairly and proportionately.

3.2 Serious Violations

Some violations may result in stronger enforcement, including:

• Repeated or intentional violations
• Serious intellectual property infringement
• Manipulation of platform data, events, or reward systems
• Illegal or high-risk content
• Content involving the safety or exploitation of minors

Where necessary to protect users or the community, we may temporarily restrict content or accounts while a review is in progress.

4. Appeals

If you believe we've made a mistake, you're welcome to submit an appeal through the form.

To help us review your appeal efficiently, please include:

• The affected account or content
• The enforcement notice you received (if applicable)
• A brief explanation of why you believe the decision should be reconsidered
• Any relevant supporting information or evidence

We'll review every appeal carefully and typically respond within 7 business days. Please note that the original enforcement action may remain in effect while your appeal is under review.

Supplemental Guidelines

These Community Guidelines provide the foundation for our community standards.

As the platform evolves, we'll continue to publish additional Supplemental Guidelines covering specific features, programs, and policies. Together, these documents form the complete set of community rules.

The latest guidelines will always be available on the Snapmaker Model Platform Wiki.

Guideline Updates

We may update these guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in laws, platform features, or community needs. Significant updates will be published through our official channels.
